Ching Ming Festival - Hong Kong

Ching Ming Festival in Hong Kong falls on either April 4th or 5th each year depending on the Cold Food Day.

Celebration\ Observance

People will take this day to visit their relatives graves and pay their respects. They can bring offerings like paper money or other things paper that they will burn. They also will bring incense and joss sticks.

History

In the past Ching Ming Day was celebrated 3 days after the Cold Food Day. This day is also called "Remembrance of Ancestors Day" or "Grave Sweeping Day".
